John Madigan, J.D.

Following work in the corporate finance department of a large Chicago law firm, John Madigan had a sole practice focused on general representation of business clients.  His charitable and educational interests in support of pregnant women and promoting the dignity of life led to his representation of dozens of individual defendants charged for acts of civil disobedience at or near abortion clinics.   

A case challenging the authority of an Illinois politician to compel taxpayer funded abortions introduced him to David Shaneyfelt, a longstanding LLDF board member, and ultimately to LLDF. 

For more than 20 years, John has worked as a consultant and in executive roles with non-profit organizations.  He is a graduate of Notre Dame and Vanderbilt’s School of Law. He and his wife recently welcomed their first grandchild.
