Allison Aranda | Director of Criminal Litigation

Allison Aranda is a seasoned trial attorney and passionate defender of pro-life advocates. She graduated from Biola University in 1997 with a B.A. in Social Science and a minor in Sociology, and went on to earn her J.D. from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2001.
Ms. Aranda began her legal career as a criminal prosecutor in Orange and Riverside Counties, where she was recognized as Misdemeanor Prosecutor of the Year in 2004. In 2006, she transitioned to public interest law, focusing on the defense of pro-life activists, and joined Life Legal in 2008.
Since then, Ms. Aranda has dedicated her legal career to protecting the constitutional rights of individuals who speak out for the unborn. She has served as co-counsel in numerous high-profile cases, including People v. Hoye, where all charges against pro-life pastor Walter Hoye were ultimately dismissed, and Turn the Hearts v. City of Birmingham, which resulted in the striking down of a decades-old ordinance and a legal settlement for the wrongfully arrested pro-life advocates.
Ms. Aranda’s primary focus is defending the free speech rights of pro-life activists in state and federal courts across the country. She also leads legal trainings and seminars to educate activists on how to exercise their rights peacefully and effectively.
Allison lives in Temecula, California—where she was raised—with her husband Miguel. They are the proud parents of four children and also serve as foster parents, continuing their family’s commitment to defending vulnerable lives.
