Two weeks ago Sarah*, a pro-life volunteer, did what sidewalk counselors do every day: she gently reached out to a young mom who believed abortion was her only option. Moments later, she was accused of battery and handed a criminal citation.
Here’s what happened. A young mother pulled into a public parking lot, far from the clinic entrance. Sarah approached her only after receiving the woman’s permission. They spoke for several minutes.
