UPDATE:  Ballot Measures Threaten Pro-Life Gains, Babies’ Lives…!

2022 was a decisive year for the pro-life movement.  After almost 50 years, the bloated idol to which abortion ideologues pledged their allegiance – Roe v. Wade – collapsed of its own inhumane, irrational weight.  Strategies on both sides of the struggle over human life shifted drastically.

2024 will also be a decisive year.  One of the child-murder industry’s chief post-Roe strategies – the pro-abortion ballot measure – will face a pivotal test.  It’s up to pro-lifers to see that this strategy fails.  If it doesn’t, we’ll still be pro-life, but we’ll be facing an immense challenge, and our own strategies will need to undergo a drastic shift once again.

There have been alarming precursors of a new era of baby-killing rooted in the ballot measure strategy.  The pro-aborts have already passed ballot measures in California, Michigan, Vermont, and Ohio.

The pro-abort victory in Ohio broke our hearts here at Life Legal.  We put a lot of effort into that fight – but our resources were limited.  Sadly, we lost.

These ballot measures typically rely on deceptive language, and especially on the euphemism “reproductive freedom,” to win votes.  Everybody’s for freedom, right?

But what the measures introduce is not any sort of ordered freedom, but instead a wild license that threatens to erase actual liberties and exalt abortion, abortion, and more abortion as the very essence of America.

And the slippery term “reproductive freedom” also opens the door for unimaginable excesses beyond the abortion controversy – excesses that many voters aren’t even considering as they weigh their decisions.

Keep in mind that the clearly written 4th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was exploited, implausibly, as the basis for Roe – and thus for five decades of infant annihilation.  What will unpredictable courts make out of “reproductive freedom”?

This year, there are “reproductive freedom” measures menacing babies in numerous states.  It is essential to recognize that the initiative process varies from venue to venue.  Some states allow private citizens to initiate ballot proposals.  Others require them to originate in state legislatures.

  • In Hawaii and Washington State, pro-abortion measures have been proposed but not yet referred by the legislature for inclusion on the ballot.
  • In Arizona, Arkansas, Montana, Nebraska, and Nevada, pro-abortion measures are still gathering signatures.
  • In Colorado, Missouri, and South Dakota, signatures on pro-abortion measures have been submitted for approval.
  • In Florida and Maryland, pro-abortion measures have been scheduled for the November ballot.

To render the picture slightly more complicated, Missouri and Nebraska ballots may feature pro-life proposals (without deceptive language) in opposition to pro-abortion ones – and the states of Iowa, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania may feature pro-life proposals only.

We at Life Legal currently foresee that our work against the abortion syndicate’s great putsch for ballot initiatives will focus on Arkansas, Florida, and Missouri.  We also anticipate assisting other pro-life leaders in Arizona.

Our strategy in these battles will be much more finely honed than in the past.  We’ve learned a lot from our experience in California and Ohio – and are ready to even up the score against the maniacal advocates of intrauterine homicide.

This year’s ballot initiative campaign is the most important pro-life concern since Roe fell.  The pro-aborts are clearly attempting to restore by other means their practice of unlimited child sacrifice, state by state.  A lot of lives are at stake – right now and for decades to come.

The bottom line is that pro-lifers cannot stand by while the other side erects an abortion regime that will last another five decades.

We at Life Legal are prepared to take on this monstrous pro-abortion power grab.  But the abortion industry has one undeniable advantage over us.  Its profiteers are positively swimming in reservoirs of blood money that they mean to use against us – and against babies in the womb.

If you want to stop the pro-abortion ballot measure scheme – now, while there’s still time – please pray daily that a real perception of what abortion is will triumph over the sanitized lie of “reproductive freedom.”
