A year-long legal battle ends in victory!

We have wonderful news to share: All charges against Life Legal client Anastasia Rogers have been dropped.

Just over a year ago, Anastasia recorded a 13-second video outside a San Francisco Planned Parenthood and posted it on Instagram. Using a popular trend, she made the contrast clear: Anastasia defends babies. Planned Parenthood kills them.

For posting the video, Anastasia was arrested and prosecuted under California’s Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act, with prosecutors alleging that the post was intended to intimidate Planned Parenthood staff.

Life Legal believed from the beginning that this prosecution was ill-founded.

Earlier this year, the case went before a San Francisco jury. After three days of deliberations, the jurors could not reach a unanimous verdict, resulting in a mistrial. Significantly, the final votes leaned heavily toward acquittal: 10–2 not guilty on one count and 9–3 not guilty on the other.

And now, one year after the video that started it all, the case is over. On Wednesday, the court dropped all charges against Anastasia.

Today, we are celebrating with Anastasia, thanking everyone who stood with her, and above all thanking God that this chapter has finally come to an end.
